Bring what you have. Or just yourself.
Choose a Lens for the situation. Paste notes, add a document or pick a saved conversation, and VelvetSpeak drafts the facts, the agreed next steps and the questions worth asking. Add lines of your own. A Plan is optional.

Start when you mean to.
Start Live explicitly. Swipe down on Listening to ask for help on what was just said, or open your prepared questions, next steps and lines from the Main Menu. You choose what to read and what to say.

Take it forward.
End and save the session. When your consent, capture settings and session content permit it, VelvetSpeak checks which questions were answered and suggests what to ask next time. Review what was covered, take the next steps you agree with and decide what to keep.

Preparation that follows through
Remember what
you wanted to ask.
Paste notes, upload a document or choose a saved conversation, and VelvetSpeak drafts a summary, the facts, the actions people agreed to with who owns them, and the questions worth asking. Accept what is right, edit the rest, dismiss what is not. A suggestion is never dressed up as an agreement.
Your to-dos, what you are waiting on from others and your questions live together in the Plan, on the website and your phone, and Next steps shows what is open across your Plans. Goals kept in the phone's coaching screens are separate and stay on your phone. Mark Done or Reopen a question whenever you need to correct it. Eligible debriefs can assess the questions from that session. Then read what mattered and decide what belongs in your saved memory.
Progress sync carries status, timestamps and a session reference. Conversation evidence stays in the on-device debrief under your capture choices. Files you add are read into text; the file itself is not kept.

The Main Menu on your glasses holds Prepared: the questions, next steps and lines from your active Plan. Open a question and read it at your pace. Tap it and VelvetSpeak helps you ask it well, using what has been said so far. Double-tap goes back, every time.
Sometimes you need the words. Sometimes a clearer explanation, a question or a little perspective. The glasses' Quick Actions bring those choices together.
Guide me is there whenever you ask. Automatic reply suggestions and proactive coaching are optional; both start off. Humor has a place here too: a lighter line, a callback or something that makes you both smile.

Pick Dating, Sales, Everyday or any of the eight. Name yours, say how you want to sound, add a few lines that are yours and the words to avoid. Three simple dials do the rest.
Hear it before you save it
Preview real exchanges with your settings next to the original. It is a close guide to your glasses, not an exact copy: on Conflict, and Lenses built on it, What can I say? offers calm, neutral replies, such as a restatement and a question, rather than lines in your Lens's voice. Change a dial and see what moves.
Arrange your picker
Hide the Lenses you do not use, put yours first, bring an original back whenever you like. Your phone and glasses follow the same list.
Share yours. Add someone else's.
Publish a Lens you made in Explore Lenses and other members can add their own copy. Add one someone else published and make it yours. What travels is the recipe: a name, a voice, your lines and your dials. Your Plans, notes and conversations never do. The eight original Lenses cannot be edited or copied, and how the official Lenses work stays with VelvetSpeak.

Illustrative recipe. Dating still does what Dating does underneath; the recipe changes how it sounds.
You start the session.
Opening the app does not start live capture. Start explicitly, tell people about transcription where required, and choose Stop (or Pause) listening on the glasses Main Menu, or End Session on the phone, when you need to stop listening.
Live help uses cloud processing.
Microphone audio and conversation context pass through VelvetSpeak, Deepgram and OpenAI to produce results. Provider retention is described on the privacy page; this is not an entirely on-device service.
You choose what stays.
Minimal, Standard and Full control local retention. Plans and their progress are account data, and so are the sources you add, your Lenses and your picker. A published Lens shares its recipe and nothing else. Session memory sync is a separate opt-in; export, wipe and account-support options are explained in the privacy controls.
